30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 8
Blessing #8: I have a toddler who loves to color and draw, and who will spend long periods of time having a lot of fun at her little desk.
Maybe that sounds a little selfish, the whole she entertains herself part. I mean it not because now i don’t have to play with her, but because of how happy it makes me to see her so happy and content. It was always one of those fears with having an only child, that she would always be clingy and never be able to occupy herself without needing me to guide her. Right now, as I watch her coloring away, singing along with the songs that are playing, I know that she is a pretty awesome little girl and I needn’t have worried.

30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 6
Blessing #6: Hearing and watching my little girl sing
Kira loves to sing. She has quite the repertoire of songs and will always make a strong, and very entertaining, attempt at any new song. She sings every word she can understand and even some she can’t. She sings introductions and backup vocals; she even sings the sound effects of instruments. Watching Kira sing can literally entertain you for hours if you were so inclined.
Her current favorites include “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”, “Old MacDonald Had a Farm”, and “If You’re Happy and You Know It.”
“Look, Momma, I’m dancing!”
“Oh, no! I fell down!”

30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 5
Blessing #5: Cousins for Kira
Since we are unable to provide Kira with a sibling to play with, we are very blessed to have her 5 cousins very nearby. She gets to socialize and form relationships with them. Two of them are within a year of her same age, so they’ll be great playmates as they grow up together.
